La Madre worked for a second year with the Assyrian Aid Society of America to support distribution of medicines through mobile medical clinic visits to IDPS (Internally Displaced Persons) in the Sapna area of Northern Iraq.
With the donation of La Madre Church of San Francisco and Assyrian Aid Society of America (AASA); the Assyrian Aid Society-Iraq implemented a project of providing medicine to Mobile Clinic project of the Assyrian Aid Society-Iraq through the support of Assyrians Without Borders.
People with chronic illness in need of monthly meds find them impossible to acquire in areas of conflict, and our donation brought a moment of normal to nearly 150 Assyrian Christians.
The project included providing medical care and examination for the patients as well as the medicine through the field visit of AASI medical team for the IDPs and the inhabitants of Dawoodiya village – Sapna area, Nov. 29th 2017.
